DIY: CUT OUT SHIRT

Welcome love! I’m going to start apologizing now on how not detailed this post would be as this DIY was one of those I did in the spur of the moment. Anyway, I hope you still get the hang of it.

DIYs are a great and inexpensive way to revamp one’s closet and avoid unnecessary spending. New trends don’t necessarily mean you need to break the bank, you may as well do yours at home with available materials! Also, I really don’t know if the proper term to use for this trend is the cut out shirt ( please pardon as I’m still learning fancy fashion terminologies 😀 )

The materials you need for this DIY are

  • An old shirt
  • A pencil
  • Scissors
  • Thread and needle or a sewing machine if you can use one

First of all, use a pencil or chalk to mark out where exactly you need the cut out to be. Next, carefully cut out the area which you have marked with the scissors and that’s pretty much it! Be careful not to go too low ( I did this mistake). To make the finishing neater, use a thread and needle to sew down the raw hem. I took mine to a tailor and got it done for just 50 naira! And just like that, you have a new item in your closet, go forth and slay 🙂

Once again, I apologize for the lack of detailed pictures. I did this project before I even started blogging but when next I’m doing my crazy DIYs, I’ll be sure to take pictures before and after, hope I’m forgiven? 😉 I can’t wait to see your recreations and don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you do so (@anniejaai)

Thanks for reading love! Stay blessed, hugs and kisses ❤

Have you ever tried this DIY before?? Or are you going to try it out? Please leave a comment below, thanks!

Very cool idea! Don’t worry the pics you have are very cool and I know the feeling. When you made something on impulse and then later realise you should’ve taken pictures😉🤗🌸🦋
